Welcome to Brave Space Therapy and Supervision We’re so glad you’re here.
Taking the first step toward healing isn’t always easy—and we honour the courage it takes to begin. At Brave Space, we offer a safe, supportive place to explore your past and present challenges, while building the tools and inner strength you need to move toward a more grounded and authentic future.
We work with individuals and couples of all kinds, gently supporting those navigating relationship struggles, trauma (including childhood, PTSD, relational, and intergenerational/intersectional trauma), grief, anxiety, and life transitions.
Our approach is holistic and tailored to you. We draw from a wide range of therapeutic methods—including EMDR, Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic and Narrative Therapy, CBT, parts work, Family Systems approaches, and more. Together, we’ll find the path that best supports your growth and healing.
Whether you’re joining us online or in person in Burlington, Ontario, know that you are welcome here—just as you are. This is a brave space, and we’re honoured to walk with you.
Meet Kelly – A Compassionate Guide on Your Healing Journey
Kelly brings a gentle, grounded approach to therapy, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods—including EMDR and talk therapy—based on what works best for you. Whether we begin by tuning into the body, exploring emotions, or untangling thoughts, the work always centers around what feels right and helpful to you.
Together, you’ll have open conversations about what you’re hoping for and how therapy can support that. Kelly works from a trauma-informed and neuroscience-based perspective, always keeping your attachment history and nervous system in mind.
She says, “I get excited about the possibility of change—because science tells us we don’t have to stay stuck. There’s always hope.”
Kelly goes at your pace—always. That might mean taking things slowly, especially when working with trauma. When it feels right, you’ll gently build the inner resources you need to handle more. With consistency and care, even slow steps can lead to profound life shifts.
Kelly supports people navigating:
Childhood, relational, and intersectional trauma
PTSD
Grief and loss
Anxiety
Major life changes
New diagnoses or serious illness
Spiritual questions and meaning-making
Feeling stuck or uncertain
Tough decisions
Relationship or communication challenges
Self-growth and personal development

An Invitation to Brave Space By Micky ScottBey Jones
Together we will create brave space Because there is no such thing as a “safe space” We exist in the real world We all carry scars and we have all caused wounds. In this space We seek to turn down the volume of the outside world, We amplify voices that fight to be heard elsewhere, We call each other to more truth and love We have the right to start somewhere and continue to grow. We have the responsibility to examine what we think we know. We will not be perfect. This space will not be perfect. It will not always be what we wish it to be But It will be our brave space together, and We will work on it side by side.
I am located in Burlington, on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Metis peoples.
